Counseling Center

The mission of Dakota State University's Counseling Center is to promote student persistence, retention and academic success by providing a system of resources - offering access to a continuum of mental health and alcohol and other drug services.

We believe in creating a welcoming environment that values diversity and inclusion, encourages intellectual and emotional growth and fosters social learning and development. The Counseling Center supports the learning environment through providing the following services: individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consulting and referral, and outreach programming.

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. ~ Robert Collier
