Current User – Reset DSU Network Password


NOTE: If your account has expired, you can no loger remember your security questions or can no longer access your account, you must complete the request form to receive a verification code to start your setup:  REQUEST CODE HERE

This article will help current users reset their passwords and setup or update security questions and alternate email information.

Your DSU Network Account gives you access to many services offered by DSU.  To keep your accounts safe, we highly recommend you create a unique password – one that you don’t use anywhere else.  Some of the services that will require your DSU account are:  Webmail, Outlook, Office365, wireless access, printing, IA lab, VM View and personal web space.


Reset Your DSU Network Password

Go to

Under the DSU Account Management header, click Manage My Account

On the left side of the page, sign in with your current DSU network credentials

You will be brought to the My Profile page where you can view your student information as well as update your password, security questions or alternative (personal) email address

If you would like to update your password, click the blue 'change' button next to password under the security header

Choose from a standard password or long life password

Enter in your new password twice to confirm then click 'Reset my password'

Review your Profile

You can review and edit your alternative email address here as well as your security questions and answers.


Password Requirement Information

Normal Password Requirement: You must change your password every 6 months (180 days) to keep your account current and active.

     Passwords may not contain your name or your username.

     Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters long.

     Passwords must contain characters from three of the following categories:

              Uppercase letters

              Lowercase letters


              Special characters: ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * _ - + = ` | \ ( ) { } [ ] : ; " ' < > , . ? /

Long Life Password Requirements:   You will not need to change your password unless your account has been compromised.

There is no requirement for the password to contain any uppercase, lowercase numbers or special characters.

Passwords must be a minimum of 20 characters long.

Enter your password according to your choice requirements and then click Reset My Password.

NOTE:  If you do not meet requirements, you will not move on to the next screen and will receive a “Please meet the Password Requirement” message.  Try again.


Reset Completed Successfully

You will receive a message that “Your password has been reset successfully.  Please log in using your New Password”.
