Install:  Office365 for Windows

 

Overview:

DSU provides Office365 for all currently registered DSU students.  

Note:  This will not be active until you have registered for upcoming semester course(s).

If you are a student from another SDBOR institution, please contact your school’s Help Desk for Office365 availability information.

These instructions can be used by DSU students, faculty, and staff to install Office365 for Windows.

 

Before you begin:

STUDENTS:  Complete this install before you attend your first class!

 

Installation Instructions:

To get Office365:  CLICK HERE

Enter your DSU email address and click your tab key once, this will redirect you to DSU’s Office365 page.

 

Change the user name to dsu\username or your email address and then enter your DSU network password

Once you are logged in, choose Install to install your programs. (Default Language is English US) – Do not change defaults.

Click “Install Office 2016” in the upper right hand corner of the screen. By default, the program to install will be now be located in your Downloads folder.

 

Chrome the download will appear in the bottom right. In Firefox, it will ask you to save file. Click Save file.

Click the downloaded file and it will ask you to run. Click Run.

 

A small pop up will appear click Yes.

 

The program will install.

When done with installing you can find all of the products in Start.

 

Troubleshooting:

No products found when logged into Office365 portal:  Contact the DSU ITS Support Desk.

Registered students are given access one week prior to classes starting each semester.  Registered students are uploaded periodically from start of semester to census date.  If you are a late register, you may need to contact Support Desk to be given permission to Office365.
