Overview
Dakota State University offers Microsoft365 to all staff, faculty, and currently enrolled students.
Students not currently enrolled: Access to Microsoft365 will be activated once you have registered for courses in the upcoming semester.
Students from other South Dakota Board of Regents institutions: please reach out to your school's Help Desk for information on Microsoft365 availability.

Start Here

Navigate to: Click HERE or navigate to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps

Enter your DSU email address.

Click Next.
-
Complete DSU Single Sign-On (SSO) and DUO authentication.
After signing in, you will land on the Microsoft 365 Apps dashboard.
Windows

After signing in, locate the Install and more button in the upper-right corner of the page.

Click Install Microsoft 365 apps.

On the Apps & devices page, click Install Office.

Download and open the file named OfficeSetup.exe.

If prompted, click Yes to allow changes to your device.

The installation will run automatically.

When finished, open Word, Excel, or another Office app.

Sign in with your DSU email address to activate.
iOS

After signing in, locate the Install and more button in the upper-right corner.

Click Install Microsoft 365 apps.

On the Apps & devices page, click Install Office.

Allow the file to download.

Open the downloaded .pkg file.

Click Continue.

Click Continue again.

Click Agree to accept the license agreement.

Choose whether to install for:

Click Install.

Enter your Mac password if prompted.

After installation completes, open an Office app and sign in with your DSU email address to activate.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure you are signed in with your DSU account, not a personal Microsoft account.
- If DUO fails, resolve MFA issues before attempting installation.
- If installation fails, restart your device and try again.
- If you previously had a personal or older version of Office installed, uninstall it before installing the DSU version
