If you or your guests have special needs (wheelchairs, hearing impairment, etc.) that we need to accommodate in our planning, please contact the President's Office at 256-5112 or graduation@dsu.edu as soon as possible. Interpreters are not present at every ceremony unless we have been notified of a need.
For the fall commencement, no bleacher seating tickets are issued. However, for any guests with special needs that will require floor seating, reserved floor seating tickets should be requested.
For the spring commencement, seating tickets are required for entrance to the ceremony, including bleacher seating. The number of tickets issued is determined by the total number of graduates.

Diplomas:
Diplomas are issued after all grades for the degree have been submitted and an audit has determined that all requirements have been met (usually around 10-12 weeks after the term has ended).
Photos:
Lifetouch Photography will be providing photography services at the Commencement ceremony. Lifetouch will take two photos of each graduate—one on stage as the diploma is presented by the President of Dakota State University, and a second at the bottom of the stairs, after crossing the stage. The proofs and specific information will be emailed directly to you from Lifetouch Photography, including instructions for purchasing copies of the photo(s) of your choice.

DVD:
The Office of Online Education will make copies of the ceremony available on DVD for student purchase. The cost of the DVD is $10 (including shipping/handling) and can be ordered by contacting the Office of Online Education by email at video@dsu.edu prior to the ceremony. The DVD's will be mailed approximately 1 week after graduation. Please make sure the address and phone number you provide on your order will be valid when shipping will occur.

Live Webcast:
Arrangements have been made to stream the graduation ceremony live via the Internet. The link will be available on the DSU Homepage on the day of the ceremony and for two weeks following the ceremony.
