Overview
This article will help you install and configure OneDrive for Business, to allow you to synchronize work related files between devices and to Office 365.
Office365 OneDrive is DSU's recommended cloud solution for personal work files and school work. For sharing departmental files, please use your department's designated SharePoint.

Windows
- If OneDrive is not already installed
- Download the OneDrive for Business Sync Client
- Run the client
- Open OneDrive
- Type your DSU email address and password
- Click Sign In
- Click Next
- Click the arrows through to the end.
Setup (first time opening client)
- Open the OneDrive application.
- Enter your email and click Sign in. (Note: The screen will redirect to a page containing the DSU logo after your email is entered. This is normal.)
- Enter your password and click Sign in.
- Choose a location for your OneDrive folder. (We recommend using the default location.)
- Select which files you want synchronized from your OneDrive and click Next.
- Finally, click Open my OneDrive – Dakota State University folder.
OneDrive Status
You can find your OneDrive status icon in the lower right corner on your taskbar or notification area.
Mac OS
Install
- If OneDrive is not already installed
- Download the OneDrive for Mac.
- Run the client.
- Open OneDrive
- Type your DSU email address and password
- Click Sign In
- Click Next
- Click the arrows through to the end.

OneDrive Status
You can find your OneDrive status icon up in your menu bar. You'll have a cloud icon for every account you've connected to OneDrive.
