Overview

Getting connected to the Microphone, Camera, and TVs in the Alumni room.

Instructions
  • Quick Start Guide

    • Turn on the TVs:

      • Use the Power button on the control panel.
         

    • Check the microphones:

      • Make sure they are not muted (light should be green, not red).

    • Check the volume:

      • Adjust the volume levels on the control panel before playing any media.

    • Connect the HDMI and USB cable

      • The HDMI cable will allow your computer to show on the TV screens

      • The USB cable is needed to connect to the room camera and microphone

    • In Zoom or Teams

      • Set microphone device to Dante USB I/O Module

      • Set camera to PTZ Optics

      • Set speaker device to Extron HDMI 

  • Using the Control Panel

    • The control panel is on the conference table.

    • If it’s not showing the main menu, tap the house icon in the bottom-left corner.

    • From there, you’ll see the main controls:

      • TV Power: Turns the TVs on/off.

      • Microphone Mute: Mutes/unmutes all table microphones.

      • Red buttons mean something is off; green buttons mean it’s on.

  • Microphones

    • There are three microphones on the table.

    • Tap the edge of a mic to mute or unmute it:

      • Red light: Muted

      • Green light: Active

    • Audio plays through the room speakers from the computer connected to the HDMI cable.

      • The speaker that should be selected is Extron HDMI (5-HD Audio Driver for Display Audio)

    • The microphone that should be selected is Dante USB Receive (Dante USB I/O Module)

    • For the Microphone to work it requires you to be plugged into the USB located on the table.

  • Camera Controls

    • The camera is located below the Northwest TV.

    • Use the control panel buttons to adjust it.

    • Camera Presets:

      • The house icon returns the camera to its default position.

    • Camera Zoom:

      • Use the zoom buttons to zoom in or out.

    • Always be aware of what’s in view before adjusting the camera.

    • If you are doing a video conference for the microphone on the camera to work it requires you to be plugged into the USB located on the table.
