OnTheHub: Discount Software for DSU Students
OnTheHub provides students, faculty and staff with discounted and free academic software. Here, students can get the latest applications and programs from organizations like Microsoft, Adobe, and VMware for up to 90% off or even free. All it takes is registering for an account with your DSU email.
Make sure you have a valid DSU email account.
First, navigate to OnTheHub. On the top navigation bar, click on Find Your School and then College & University.
A screen will appear as shown below. Enter United States for Country, South Dakota for State/Province, and find Dakota State University in the School list.
There are three different options to select for the department. Dakota State University - Computer Science, Dakota State University - Computer Science - Microsoft Imagine Premium, and Dakota State University.
Each one is tailored to a specific need:
Dakota State University - Computer Science offers many VMware products and software related to statistics, science and engineering, business, photo, and video editing, and more.
Dakota State University - Computer Science - Microsoft Image Premium offers many client and server operating systems and developer tools.
Dakota State University offers Windows operating systems, Microsoft office licenses, statistics, and security software, Wipebook products, and more.
Once you navigate to the correct Department for your needs, you will need to register for an account, if you do not have one. Click on the Sign in or Register option in the corner.
If you have an account, you can sign in under Sign In with your current username and password. If you do not have an account, click on Register.
Enter your current DSU email address into Organization-Issued Email Address line and click Continue.
You will be asked to fill out an Account Registration page. It asks for basic information such as first name, last name, and proof of eligibility. Once you have filled in the blanks, enter the security code at the bottom and hit Register.
Once you hit Register, a notification will appear at the top. An email will be sent to you. If you registered for the Dakota State University department, you can verify the account by clicking the link sent to you. Your email address will be successfully verified, and you are able to add items to your cart. Dakota State University - Computer Science and Dakota State University - Computer Science - Microsoft Imagine Premium needs administrator approval and you must have a valid reason for desiring an account.
After account approval, you will be able to checkout and download items as needed.
