This article contains the internship application for ACCT/DAD/BADM/CIS/CLI/CSC/ENGL/MCOM 494. This article outlines the approval process, and, if approved, how to register for the correct number of internship credits.
Instructions
Step 1: Complete the online Internship Application
- Please select the year, term, and how many internship credits are needed
Most internships are for 3 credit hours - as that is required for some majors and is also about 8 1/2 weeks full time work.
- Submitting your application for approval will automatically send your application to your work supervisor, academic advisor, and internship coordinator. You will be notified via DSU student email when all necessary approvals have been received and can register for the course.

Step 2: Email Approval and Registration Permissions for 494
- When an email approval is received, you will need to register for the correct number of credits in your Student SS.
- Please see the resource attached to this article titled “Registering for Variable Credit” to assist you in registering for the correct number of approved internship credits.
Step 3: Confirm Your Registration
- Once registered, please check your Degree Works Dashboard to ensure your internship credits are applied to your program as desired. If you have registration questions or need confirmation you have enrolled in the correct number of credits for your program, please contact DSU-Registrar@dsu.edu
