About the D2L Homepage

The homepage is the first page you see when you log in to D2L Brightspace or enter your course. The D2L Brightspace homepage contains various things that are important for students and faculty.  The typical default homepage is widget-based. Widgets are sections of content that provide information and links to tools, courses, and personal settings. Course homepages can point to Brightspace tools, such as Announcements or Content, or an external URL.

Navigating the D2L Homepage

Login to D2L with your username and password. You will then see all of your courses assigned to you. Select the course from My Courses that you want to work with. As an instructor, all of your current courses will be towards the bottom of the list. Pinning them to the top is a good idea, so that you can quickly find them.

You will then see a homepage similar to the one below.
