Remove Advising Holds

Advising holds can only be released by the student's advisor(s) in Self-Service Banner. 
 

1. Go to https://mydsu.dsu.edu/
2. Select Login to SNAP for Faculty/Staff
3. Select Faculty/Advisor tab
4. Select Advisor Dashboard link
5. Select appropriate Term
6. Enter Student ID or Student Lastname, Firstname
7. Select View Profile
8. Select the Holds tab in the upper-right corner 
9. Click the Advisement box
10. Select Release 
    1. You may enter a comment in that field, but it is not required.
11. Confirm you want to proceed and select OK

Advisors cannot re-add the hold once released - if you need the advising hold placed back on, contact the Registrar's office at DSU-Registrar@dsu.edu or 605-256-5154.
