H5P HotSpots
What are they?
H5P hotspots are an interactive feature you can use in your online learning modules. They allow you to add clickable areas, or "hotspots," on an image. When learners click on these hotspots, they can reveal hidden text, images, or videos. It's like having secret areas in a picture that learners can explore.
Imagine you're teaching a course on human anatomy. You could have an image of the human body, and learners could click on different parts to learn more about each organ. Or, if you're teaching geography, you could use a map where learners click on different countries to discover facts about them. It's a great way to make learning more engaging and interactive, encouraging learners to explore and find information on their own. Plus, it adds a nice visual element to your course, making it more appealing and less text-heavy.
Example
Below is an example of an H5P interactive element created for an English 101 course to explore the unique history of a restaurant with cultural meanings.
