• How can I setup Evolution Client for Linux?

These directions are for students and staff using Mac devices and wish to install and configure Outlook 2016 to connect to their DSU email account.  These instructions are for staff, faculty and students setup.

These directions are for students and staff using Linux devices and wish to install and configure Evolution, a mail client for linux, to connect to their DSU email account. These instructions are for staff, faculty, and students setup.

Note: This tutorial was checked with Evolution 3.46.3

Before you begin:

Be sure to user your DSU network username/password for Evolution client setup.  If you are unsure of what your DSU network username, please verify and record before you begin by going here:  Account Lookup

Setup Evolution Instructions:

From your desktop manager, open Evolution

1. Download Evolution from your package manager for your distribution
2. Open Evolution via your desktop manager
3. Select File -> New -> Mail Account and click Next to follow the prompts
4. Enter your name and your primary SMTP address, uncheck Look up mail server details... and click Next
5. Select Exchange Web Services for Server Type
6. Enter your e-mail address for your username
7. Change Host URL to https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
8. Click Fetch URL button
9. Check the box for Override Office365 OAuth2 settings and enter the following details:
   1. Application ID: 20460e5d-ce91-49af-a3a5-70b6be7486d1
   2. Tenant ID: cbb5b525-3b95-4d93-9417-4dbb3c89512e
   3. Endpoint host: login.microsoftonline.com
   4. Redirect URI: https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/nativeclient
   5. Resource URI: blank
10. Click Finish and you should be prompted for logging in, do so with your DSU user credentials and your mail should now sync.
