Uploading & Deleting Videos from Media Library
This tutorial will cover uploading and deleting videos in your Ensemble Video Media Library.
Once videos are in your Media Library they can be added to a playlist that can be shared with a link. The Ensemble Video Playlist tutorial will explain adding videos to a playlist and sharing videos.
Log into the Ensemble Video server with your DSU network credentials.
Once you have logged in click the green Add button to upload a single video. If you are uploading multiple video files at one time use the Bulk button on the right side of the page.

After you click the Add button you will be directed to a new page to enter information about your video. The Title is the only required field. Once you have entered your information click Continue.

Next you will need to choose the Workflow for your video. A workflow is the video conversion preset used to convert videos to MP4s and creates multi-bitrate files for streaming. There are a few workflows to choose from.
ABR (Adaptive Bit Rate) – Best used if your video contains lots of motion. If you are showing a video or using a webcam ABR will be the best choice.
Screen Capture – Best when only showing mostly still images such as webpages or PowerPoint slides. The main difference between Screen Capture and ABR is that the Screen Capture workflow uses 5fps (frames per second). A lower frame rate will use less storage and is not critical to video showing minimal motion. A video with lots of motion will appear to look choppy with the Screen Capture workflow.
No Transcode – Bypasses the video converter and uploads the original video file. This workflow will only work with mp4 files. In rare situations, this will be the best workflow. The ABR and Screen Capture workflow will ensure that your video is converted to a file size that able to be streamed.
Once you have selected your workflow you can add a file to be uploaded. From the Options menu, you can choose what type of file you are uploading. By default, Audio/Video is selected but you have the option to attached files such as images, PDFs, PowerPoints, and links. You click Start Upload before uploading a different file type from the Options menu.

Once you have added all your files click the Continue button in the lower right of the screen. You can now choose to add a video to a playlist if you have created any. (See Ensemble – Creating Playlists Tutorial.) You can also use the Schedule Publishing option to make your videos available at a certain day and time.
Finally hit Publish. Your video will start converting, progress can be monitored in your Media Library by clicking the Manage button under the desired video. You can also attach files later using the Manage button.

The video and all the attachments can be previewed by clicking the video in your Media Library. The About tab will have all the attachments you added.
